Bizenjo rebuffs dissolving Balochistan Assembly

  • Bizenjo has said assemblies are not dissolved at anyone’s wish
  • He said the assembly is representative of people
  • Bizenjo said he will continue to serve as CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, has said that government and assemblies are not the personal inheritance of anyone who dissolves it whenever he wishes.

“Assemblies and governments are representative of the people who elect them through their votes,” he said while talking to newsmen here on Tuesday.

Responding to a question in view of the dissolution of Punjab Assembly, Mr Bizenjo said that assemblies belong to the people who sent their representatives by electing them for representation.

“Assembly and government is not the mandate of any individual,” he said, adding that elected assemblies belong to the people who elect the members for their representation.

He said that as far as Balochistan is concerned, “Until I am here as chief minister, we will continue to serve our people without wasting even a second.”

He said that the people of Balochistan elected them through their votes to resolve their issues and problems.

Replying to a question, Chief Minister Balochistan said he doesn’t know for how the government will remain in power, however, chief ministers and ministers could change.

“Government is not personal property of anyone. It is representative of the people and we have no right to waste even one second,” he added.

He said that politicians’ stands on their words, but some people do not remain on their words. However, if a politician does not stand on their words how could they elect their seats, he questioned.

“Politics is an important field and the future of the people is linked with it,” Mr Bizenjo said.
