- King Charles is to “stay aside” from the acrimonious dispute with his son.
A royal biographer alleges that King Charles, who has not replied to Prince Harry’s assertions in his memoir Spare or in interviews, wishes to “stay aside” from the acrimonious dispute with his younger son.
According to the royal author, King Charles’ silence on Harry’s charges is motivated in part by self-awareness that he did not assist his boys sufficiently after their mother died in a horrific vehicle accident.
In the newspaper, Tom Bower said that no one understands more than the monarch how the Duke has “barely scratched the surface” when it comes to King Charles’ marriage to Princess Diana and his passion with Queen Camilla.
Mr. Bower stated in his op-ed that hearing of a “mooted peace summit” between the King and the Sussexes came as no surprise to him, with “sources” within the palace saying the sovereign may overlook Harry’s “treason” and seek reconciliation.

According to Mr. Bower, the potential of a second book has caused palace officials “the most pause,” as they fear further “embarrassing disclosures” and “vitriolic allegations” from Harry.
It is worth noting that Prince Harry recently informed the sources that there may have been two books, suggesting the prospect of another title and further royal family revelations.
