As Bravo viewers are aware, on-screen drama can swiftly escalate off-screen. On the December 7 edition of Watch What Happens Live, Jeff Lewis said that this is exactly what happened to him and Bethenny Frankel after their spat over her Real Housewives recap podcast ReWives. The celebrity is now explaining what actually occurred on the late-night show.
Jeff exclusively claimed that he and The Real Housewives of New York City alum “had a great time” on WWHL, adding that it wasn’t until the next day that he learned Bethenny was “quite angry with me.”
Jeff questioned Bethenny on WWHL about how her podcast differed from other Housewives recap podcasts. She clapped in response, pointing out that unlike Jeff, who left Bravo after his show Flipping Out was canceled, she opted to leave RHONY.
“When you have your team and they’re now, ‘Wow, he was really rude,’ or, ‘He was disrespectful,’ or whatever, no,” the 52-year-old explained to news co-hosts Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Justin Sylvester. “I was having fun, and she was somebody that I thought, ‘This is somebody that I could have a good time with.”
Fortunately, Jeff claimed he called the brains behind Skinnygirl and they were able to work things out. He stated of his WWHL remarks, “I can say anything with intent, but it doesn’t mean you’re receiving it that way, and that’s what we had to kind of clarify.”
What is the current state of their relationship? I think we’re okay,” said Jeff, adding that Bethenny had declined his offer to co-host a future edition of his podcast Jeff Lewis Has Issues.
Despite their conflict, Jeff may soon follow in the Real Housewives of Bethenny’s footsteps after he explained why he ought to be the franchise’s first male star.
“I love to get drunk, I love to talk trash and start fights,” Jeff joked. “Ask my boyfriend. Yeah, so I think I would be an excellent Housewife.”
And he is already aware of the cast of the show he wants to join. He declared, “I believe I’m relocating to Salt Lake City.” We also need to save that franchise because, as you may know, there are only about three women left.
