Prince Harry revealed a “secret technique” for regaining King Charles and Prince William’s trust, after admitting that their relationship had deteriorated in recent years.

The Duke of Sussex said he wanted his “father and brother back” in an ITV interview to promote his book Spare, which was released globally on Tuesday.

Harry stated:  “They’ve shown no willingness to reconcile. I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back.”

Following the publication of his memoir, the Duke stated that his “technique” for regaining his family’s trust was to limit the relationship between the Royal Family and the press in order to protect his brother and father and regain their trust.

He went on to say that he wants to “change an institution” as well as the media landscape, which he describes as a “enormous” challenge.

“When you’re trying to change an institution, and fundamentally the media landscape,” Harry told The Telegraph.

“The scale of the challenge is enormous, and I have to be able to protect myself mentally and emotionally throughout that process.”

He went on to say that he doesn’t understand why it’s “shocking and outrageous” for him to share his story.

Harry vowed to keep fighting for his wife Meghan Markle and “other women” in the future.

“If you don’t lead by example, what is the point in living?” he asked.

The Duke believes that, while his family may not like him sharing private details right now, they will appreciate him opening up about his trauma in the future.

Spare tells the Duke’s story with “raw, unflinching honesty,” chronicling his journey from “trauma to healing,” according to publisher Penguin Random House.

Among the book’s claims included King Charles pleading with his warring sons not to make his “final years a misery”.
