In his autobiography Spare, Prince Harry alleges that a ‘insensitive’ Prince William once “teased” him when he was experiencing a panic attack.
In a chapter of his book, which was published on January 10 to a resounding reception, the Duke of Sussex writes of having his first panic attack while with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Harry, who identified as an agoraphobe, related how, while travelling to a polo match in Gloucestershire, he experienced a panic episode.
He continued by saying that Prince William allegedly insulted him later on despite being aware of his history with panic episodes.
Prince Harry described his struggles with public speaking as follows: “After one speech, which couldn’t be avoided or cancelled, and during which I’d nearly fainted, William came up to be backstage, laughing.”
“‘Harold! Look at you! You’re drenched.’ I couldn’t fathom his reaction. Him of all people,” continued Prince Harry.
Then he continued: “He knew something was up, something bad. He’d told me that day or soon after that I needed help. And now he was teasing me? I couldn’t imagine how he could be so insensitive.”
It is important to note that Prince Harry says in his book Spare that Prince William physically abused him in 2019 among other alarming allegations regarding the royal.
