At least seven people have died as a result of tornadoes in Georgia and Alabama, and they are “still hunting for corpses”, according to local authorities.

The National Weather Services (NWS) reported over 35 tornadoes throughout the southern US on Thursday, placing more than 30 million people at danger.
For thousands of individuals in four states, the storms have resulted in outages.
According to Poweroutages.us, by Thursday evening more than 147,000 people in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas were without electricity.
The death in Georgia was confirmed by Butts County Coroner Lacey Prue, raising the total number of fatalities from the most recent tornadoes to seven.
In the middle of the state, between the cities of Montgomery and Selma, is Autauga County, which is home to all of the documented tornado fatalities in Alabama.
At 12:53CST (18:53GMT), the NWS office in Birmingham warned that a “tornado emergency” had been issued for Autauga County.
The agency posted on Twitter: “THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!!”
According to the NWS, debris that was lifted up and blasted 20,000ft (6,100m) into the air was seen on storm radar.
The state of emergencies has been declared by the governors of Georgia and Alabama.
According to YouTube footage, high winds have also seriously harmed the structural integrity of buildings in Georgia and Mississippi.
Until daybreak, there is a curfew in Selma, which is well-known for its involvement in the US Civil Rights Movement.
No storm-related fatalities were reported in Selma, but there were a number of injuries.
One man said he heard “the roof literally being torn off right over our heads” as the storm swept through.
In the upcoming days, Alabama’s temperatures are expected to fall below freezing, with a chance of snow on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, California has been battered by a string of violent storms that have resulted in flooding, mudslides, and power outages on the other side of the country.
There have been at least 18 fatalities as a result of the bad weather.
After a small break on Thursday, further storms are expected to intensify on Friday night and into the weekend, according to officials in California.
