Civil Aviation Authority issue SOPs related to COVID-19

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued the Standard Operating Procedures SOPs regarding the coronavirus.

According to the issued SOPs by CAA, Regulations and requirements on international flights issued under the security measures of COVID- 19. The government intends to resume international flight operations after cooperation with the Pakistan Aviation Division.

The CAA will have to ensure the necessary measures regarding passengers arriving at international airports. The Airbus 320 will carry between 130 and 150 passengers. However, Boeing 777  aircraft should carry between 320 and 350 passengers.

In addition to this, passengers will be required to fill out a health declaration form for Covid-19 and provide details at the health desk. In addition to Corona samples, international travelers will be passed through a thermal scanner. Final clearance must be obtained from the customs desk.

Furthermore Samples of Corona Virus PCR test will be taken at the airport for each passenger before leaving the terminal building. Necessary staff will be deployed to handle the possible passenger crowd easily. The deployment of health personnel at the health counter in the airport lounge will be ensured.
