ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is to leave for his two-day visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) today (Thursday).
PM is visiting the Emirates at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as informed by the Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson.
The prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key members of the cabinet.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet UAE president with a particular focus on advancing economic, trade and investment ties between the two brotherly countries and creating increased opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in the UAE.
Moreover, he will also attend meetings with Emirati businessmen and investors to discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade and investment.
Earlier, the PM attended the conference in Geneva that remained successful for the country as the world pledged over $9 billion for flood rehabilitation in Pakistan.
The prime minister upon his return held a press conference and hailed the world for stepping forward to support Pakistan and vowed to spend every single penny for the prosperity of the people.
He also thanked the ministers for their hard work who made the conference a success for Pakistan.
