- “She definitely hadn’t googled us,” Harry says of Meghan in retrospect.
Prince Harry explains that Meghan Markle believed Prince Andrew to be Queen Elizabeth II’s personal assistant.
In his book “Spare,” Prince Harry describes how his girlfriend and Her Majesty met at the Royal Lodge in October 2016.
Harry discusses his talk with the Suits star just after the queen left and how he had to break the news to Meghan that the Duke of York was in fact the monarch’s son.
“After a moment, Meg asked me something about the Queen’s assistant. I asked who she was talking about,” Harry writes in his book.
“‘That man holding the purse. That man who walked her to the door. That wasn’t her assistant? He recalls Meghan asking, “Who was it?'”
“‘That was her second son. Andrew.’”
“She definitely hadn’t googled us,” Harry sees in retrospect.
