The ten-child father Eddie Murphy is here for Nick Cannon’s constantly growing family.
Murphy, 61, gave a resounding thumbs up when asked about Cannon fathering 12 children on the Golden Globes red carpet on Tuesday night.
In December 2022, Cannon, 42, and Alyssa Scott welcomed a baby girl they named Halo Marie. In April 2021, the couple also welcomed a son they called Zen; however, the child passed away from brain cancer five months later.
In 2022, Cannon added three more children to his family: Rise, Onyx, and Legendary, born to Bre Tiesi, Lanisha Cole, and Brittany Bell, respectively.
Along with Bell, he also has two sets of twins: Monroe and Moroccan, 11, who is related to Mariah Carey, and Zion and Zillion, 1, who is related to Abby De La Rosa. He also has a 5-year-old son named Golden and a 2-year-old daughter named Powerful.
On November 11, the latter couple welcomed a third child together, a girl they named Beautiful Zeppelin.
The “Masked Singer” presenter quipped that he had “no idea” whether having more kids is in his future in November, just a few short weeks before Cannon and Scott welcomed Halo Marie.
He responded during their R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event, “I don’t know, man.” “I don’t know. I feel okay right now, I think!
Fatherhood is Cannon’s “number one priority,” even though he was unsure on whether he will expand his family.
Murphy has 10 kids total with five different women: Eric, 33, with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely; Bria, 33, Myles, 30, Shayne, 28, Zola, 23, and Bella, 20; Christian, 32; ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood; Angel, 15; ex-girlfriend Melanie “Mel B” Brown; and Izzy, 6; and Max, 4; with current girlfriend Paige Butcher.
Eddie exclaimed to People in March 2021, “I love being a father.”
He went on to say at the time, “I am extremely blessed with my kids. I don’t have a single bad apple. I have none that say, “Oh you are the one.” None of that is mine. My children are wonderful, everyday people; they are not like the Hollywood jerk kid.
