John Stamos Vows for Bob Saget 1 year after Costar’s death

  • Bob Saget, John Stamos’ on-screen brother-in-law, is remembered.
  • By the actor on the first anniversary of his passing.
  • In the video, Stamos added, “We will never have another show like this.”

John Stamos, 59, remembered Saget on Monday by posting a video of the two taken between takes on the Full House set. The two joked with the audience about the cast’s unique camaraderie in the Instagram video as Stamos noted: “What you see up here is truly how it is.”

In the video, Stamos added, “We will never have another show like this,” to which Saget humorously retorted, “My agent informed me I will never have another show!”

The cast’s closeness was highlighted by Stamos: “We adore one another so much. We genuinely get along, there has not been a fight in six years, and I look forward to seeing everyone.”

He then penned a short message for his late costar and friend. “It’s hard sometimes Bob without you, but we’ll try. We’ll keep loving and will keep hugging just like you want us to. I can’t believe it’s been a year, time flies when you’re grieving I guess.”

From 1987 to 1995, Stamos collaborated with Saget on the Full House project. In the series, Stamos played Danny Tanner’s brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis, while Saget played Danny Tanner. Later, they both returned to their roles in the Fuller House revival on Netflix, which has five seasons from 2016 to 2020.

Saget’s stint on Full House resulted in a decades-long bond with Stamos and his family, much like it did for many of his co-stars. The two were frank about how much their friendship meant to one another and frequently went on double dates.

Saget was discovered dead at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on January 9, 2022. His family revealed a month later that he had died from head trauma. He was 65.
