Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has briefed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan about the measures taken to provide relief to the people in the province particularly provision of wheat flour, adding that the quota of governmet wheat had been doubled to improve the supply of flour.
They also discussed the current political situation of the country especially of the Punjab.
The Punjab chief minister, who called on Imran Khan at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Monday, discussed with the former premier the strategy for the vote of confidence and session of Punjab Assembly.
Imran lamented that the imported government consisting of 13 parties had devastated the economy of the country as the inflation has gone through the roof, adding those who came to power with claims of improving the economy are now begging in foreign countries.
He said, ” Even in this worst economical situation, They have gone to Geneva along with a big delegation to beg,” adding that they were not ashamed over their being spendthrift.
He said that the incompetent rulers would come back from Geneva with empty handed.

“If the economy is not managed today, tomorrow it will be a loss to the state,” he observed, adding that Imran remarked that the rulers have gone blind for their lust for power and brought a storm of inflation, adding that the direction of the Punjab government was moving forward in a positive manner.
He lamented that the senseless mob imposed on the country has made the life of the poor man miserable.
Pervaiz Elahi said that these people are trying to clear themselves through NRO-2 instead of paying attention to the problems of the people.
He added, “Imran Khan is our leader, we will stand together in every decision. Our unity is stronger than before,” adding that Imran Khan has zeroed out the politics of the opponents.
