- Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba: “We eagerly await Patriot’s deployment.”
- The US will give Ukraine a Patriot battery and weaponry.
- Preparations for the transfer of these systems have already begun.
Preparations have already begun for the shipment of a Patriot air defense battery from the United States, according to Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“We look forward to the deployment of Patriot as soon as possible,” said Kuleba in a video posted to Facebook on Wednesday. “Preparations for the transfer of these systems have already begun.”
In the previous month, Vice President Joe Biden made the announcement that the United States will provide Ukraine with a Patriot air defense battery as well as weapons.
“Now President Zelenskyy and the entire diplomatic team are intensively working on new solutions for the supply of new types of Western weapons,” Kuleba said.
“First of all, we are talking about the supply of Western-style tanks and other armored vehicles. I have no doubt that the Ukrainian army will soon have additional armor and firepower.”
