LaKeith Stanfield’s romantic situation has changed. Despite allegations from another lady that he surreptitiously fathered her child, the Atlanta star is engaged to model Kasmere Trice. The accusations follow LaKeith’s announcement of his engagement to Kasmere in an Instagram post on December 30 that also included a picture of his partner wearing jewelry on her wedding finger and the words “Happy birthday to you sweetie.”

Additionally, Kasmere tweeted the same day to reveal that the Get Out star had proposed while on a birthday vacation to the Bahamas “Yes, my birthday is the best ever. For my birthday, my baby made me Mrs. Stanfield!”

However, after the pair posted a photo of themselves ushering in the New Year together as engaged on December 31, LaKeith was the subject of paternity claims. Artist Tylor Hurd claimed LaKeith was the father of her child, Apollo, and uploaded a video montage of the 31-year-old spending time with the mother and daughter, as seen in a now-deleted Instagram post viewed by The Neighborhood Talk.

She captioned the photo, “Decided to leave being someone’s hidden family in 2022.” Introducing Apollo Stanfield

Screenshots from the now-deleted video’s comments section also revealed conversations between LaKeith and Tylor concerning the infant on their individual accounts. “I appreciate you respecting my decision not to publicly announce my child online. Very thoughtful of you,” read a post from LaKeith’s account. Tylor responded, “Value your privacy. Otherwise, why would you have lied to people and claimed that I was just a random person or that she wasn’t your baby? You respect your privacy, but your girlfriend posts everything you do, so…”

Then LaKeith’s account replied, “I have never in my life denied being her mother. I hope this accomplishes whatever goal you had for it.”

Even though Tylor didn’t answer to LaKeith’s most recent remark, she did publish a message on her Instagram Story shortly after speaking with the Knives Out star online. The 24-year-old added, “just to clear a few things up I’m not envious that’s [sic] he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for 5 months,” in a screenshot of her post.

Tylor added, “what I’m upset about is that he made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life and has been actively ignoring me when I’m trying to figure things out for our child. Those clips of him and she together is all I have in general cause he barely sees her.”

LaKeith, who welcomed his first child in 2017 with The Mindy Project actress Xosha Roquemore, appears to have gotten past the controversy. Back to work,” he posted on his Instagram on December 12. Loved the holidays and spending time with family. Some really great moments with loved ones. Beautiful time with my fiancé and the reinforcement of our bond in the midst of any kind of climate.”

He added, “Love is a trip because at the same time as it can inspire really massive beautiful feelings of connectedness, it can also inspire pain and anger, and at the end of the day I think that’s part of what makes it so special.”
