Dame Judi Dench and Sharleen Spiteri performed a Hogmanay entertainment for hotel guests in Aberdeenshire.

The two could be seen singing along to Abba’s Waterloo at The Fife Arms in Braemar in a video that was released on Twitter.

Ms. Spiteri performs the well-known chorus while Dame Judi occasionally provides background vocals and pretends to play the pianola.

The Texas frontwoman then exclaims, “What a pianist!” while seeming shocked at the Oscar winner’s musical prowess.

Throughout the impromptu performance, which came after a meal and ceilidh at the location, they shared the piano seat.

The video was released on social media by Ewan Venters, the CEO of Artfarm, which owns The Fife Arms, and it quickly gained thousands of views.

According to him, the audience’s response to the self-playing piano performance at the hotel was “joyful.”

We had an unexpected time at the piano while Judi Dench and Sharleen Spiteri were guests at the hotel, he recalled.

“It was a joyful evening with many guests and applause from the community.”

He claimed that immediately before the midnight fireworks, the two started singing.

The Fife Arms hosted a traditional Scottish Hogmanay celebration, he remarked.
