Oprah Winfrey paid tribute to Barbara Walters on Friday. Without Barbara Walters, neither would I nor any other woman on evening, morning, and daily news, Winfrey wrote on Instagram.

“She was a pioneer.” My first TV audition was with her in mind.” The former “Oprah” anchor, 68, listed things she was “grateful” for from knowing Walters.

Barbara Walters died quietly at home, her spokesman told  on Friday. “She had no regrets” She was a pioneer for women, not just journalists.

“I wouldn’t be here without Barbara Walters,” Winfrey wrote.
During her legendary career, which lasted more than 50 years, Walters made a name for herself in the journalism field.

She became the best at what she did after she mastered the evening news. She left her mark on the world by interviewing famous people like Robert Kardashian, Monica Lewinsky, Mike Tyson, Ricky Martin, and many more.
