• CAA has begun screening passengers at airports

ISLAMABAD: Amid the threat of resurging of covid cases in Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has begun screening passengers at Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore airports.

The screening process began at the instruction of the Border Health Services and the suspects have been tested for covid positivity.

Moreover, the process of disinfecting the airports is also going on and FC personnel have deployed at the counters along with the airport staff.

The CAA has been requesting the passengers at the airports to cooperate with the staff in this regard.

Pertinently, Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Abdul Qadir Patel on Thursday said that the government has strengthened the role of Border and Health Services in Pakistan to deal with any sub-variant of Covid-19.

He said that there would be rapid tests and screening of passengers at all airports. He said that an efficient system with a proper management team was fully functional in the country to remain vigilant and was ready to make an emergency plan to deal with any sub-variant of Covid-19.
