Harry says in the show that they decided to move to Canada after the media found out about the couple’s plan.
He said that the news got out to the media the day after he told his father, King Charles, who was then the Prince of Wales.
South Africa was an option because the Sussexes had been doing charity work there.
After first moving to Canada, the Duke and Duchess moved to California, where they now live with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
