KARACHI: The criminal record of Amir Hussain, who was killed in police firing in Gulistan-Jauhar, has been revealed, Bol News reported.
According to reports, Aamir Nisar Hussain was arrested three years ago in a robbery case and possession of weapons in Dalmia.
Police said that the accused Amir Hussain committed the crime on November 23, 2018 at a shop owned by Shahzad in Street No. 5 of Dalmia. He was caught red-handed while trying to escape after a robbery, police added.
The police said FIR No. 475/2018 was registered against Amir Hussain in Aziz Bhatti police station. Another case No. 476/2018 was registered against the recovery of illegal arms.
Police said Amir Nisar Hussain’s criminal record has also been obtained from the Criminal Record Office (CRO). It was revealed that the accused was released on bail in the cases.
It must be mentioned that three police officers chased Amir and shot him dead inside a residential apartment after he did not stop at the signal. The three policemen have been arrested and an investigation has started.
The incident occurred in Gulistan-e-Jauhar when two young men riding a motorcycle by stopped to stop by Shaheen Force officers but did not adhere to their directions.
The policemen chased them towards a traffic signal and entered the premises of a residential building and shot one dead. Police confirmed the three cops have been arrested after initial investigation.
Police said two persons on a motorcycle were signaled to stop. The cops chased them and went to the premises of a residential building and opened fire.
Resultantly, Amir Hussain was killed on the spot while climbing the stairs of the building due to firing by the policemen. However, no weapons were recovered from their possession.
