2022 was Pakistanis’ most popular news. Google has published the most trending stories in Pakistan for the previous year in its Year in Search report, which summarises the most significant happenings in Pakistan for 2022.
The searches revealed that Pakistanis have a wide range of interests, with a focus on politics, famous people, government projects, current events, entertainment, technology, and, of course, cuisine.
Pakistanis used Google to find the most recent national and international news, with Amir Liaquat Hussain’s untimely death topping the list of trending topics. The Murree incident and Imran Khan received a lot of attention in 2022. People were also interested in foreign happenings involving Russia’s and Ukraine’s war. The following are the top 5:
Aamir Liaquat news
Aamir Liaquat, a former Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and televangelist died in Karachi. The 50-year-old, who had millions of fans, died unexpectedly.
The PTI politician was discovered unconscious at his house in Karachi’s Khudad Colony, making his death a mystery to Pakistanis who admired him. Liaquat apparently experienced chest pain last night but declined to go to the hospital.

Senior journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police in a “mistaken identity” case while travelling to Nairobi from the country’s Magadi town, shocking hundreds of Pakistanis.
He was laid to rest at Islamabad’s H-11 cemetery after hundreds of people conducted funeral prayers at Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque amid tight security.
