Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil has been hospitalized in Canada after suffering a heart attack.
In a statement, his son Yusuf Jamil confirmed that Maulana Tariq Jamil has been shifted to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Yusuf Jamil tweeted, “My father is currently in Canada and has been shifted to the hospital due to cardiac arrest.”
He said that Maulana Tariq Jamil’s condition is much better now by the grace of Al-Mighty Allah. He appealed for prayers to grant health to his father.

In 2019, Maulana Tariq Jamil also suffered a cardiac arrest and underwent a successful angioplasty in Lahore. He underwent an operation at a private hospital where a stent was inserted to clear the blockage of arteries.
The popular scholar also contracted the coronavirus in December 2020 but fully recovered from the infectious disease.
