The actor Ajay Devgn agreed to star in Singham very quickly after hearing the script, according to the film’s director Rohit Shetty. In a recent interview, Rohit recalled how Ajay agreed to a 7 am shoot after finishing reading the script at 2 am. In addition, Rohit claimed that Ajay “never heard the script” from him after Golmaal.

The first film in Rohit Shetty’s police universe is titled Singham (2011). It is a remake of Hari’s 2010 Tamil movie of the same name. The movie also features Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in addition to Ajay. After the movie’s success, Ajay and Rohit Shetty worked together on the follow-up Singham Returns (2014). In Rohit’s Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi, Ajay reprised his role (2021).
In an interview, Rohit said, “I think Singham script, the first Singham; he heard the script and we had a 7 am shift in Goa. He came from London at 10 in the night. He first did his haircut for the cop role, and did his dress trial. Around 10:30, 11 or 12 something we started the narration, and we completed the narration at 2 in the morning for a 7 am shoot. At 2:30 am, he came to know what the film is. After Golmaal, he has never heard the script.”

Cirkus, a recent film by Rohit, premiered last week. Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Siddharth Jadhav are just a few of the actors who appear in the movie. In the movie Cirkus, which is set in the 1960s, Ranveer plays two characters: twins who aren’t aware of one another. Varun also has a dual role in this comedy for the whole family. Cirkus is based on The Comedy of Errors, a classic play by William Shakespeare.
Ajay last appeared in the lead roles of Drishyam 2 with Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Akshaye Khanna. Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, debuted on November 18. Along with Tabu, Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobrial, Raai Lakshmi, and Makrand Deshpande, he will appear in the action thriller Bholaa.
The movie Bholaa will be seen by the public on March 30, 2023. Ajay directed Bholaa, the Hindi adaptation of the popular Kaithi film in Tamil. Ajay will appear in the upcoming historical sports film Maidaan from producer Boney Kapoor. Along with that, he is also working on the following movie from director Neeraj Pandey.
