KARACHI: A hearing was held on the bail plea of Dania Shah – third wife of late host Aamir Liaquat – on Monday and the FIA sought time for arguments in the case.
As per details, Dania Shah filed a petition for bail in the court in the obscene video case filed against her on the complaint of Aamer Liaquat’s daughter, Dua Aamer.
Notably, Shah was arrested from Lodhran after FIA registered a case against her and she was brought to Karachi.
The FIA has registered an FIR under Sections 20, 21 and 24 of the PICA Ordinance 2016 and has arrested the accused after important evidence came to light after the investigation.
During today’s hearing, the FIA counsel after acquiring the copy of the plea pleaded with the court to grant time for arguments in the case.
The court adjourned the hearing into the case till December 29.
Earlier, a petition was filed by Dania against her arrest maintaining that Aamer Liaquat had no complaints with his third wife.
The petition submitted that the case filed against her is fake rebuffing the claims of sharing the video.
The lawyer of Dania Shah, Liaquat Gabu, said that the host had no complaints with his third wife and the case has been forged to deprive her of her right to inheritance.
