The identities of two young boys whose bodies were discovered in east London, Dagenham have been revealed, and their mother has been charged with their murders.
On Friday, the bodies of Marley and Elijah Thomas were found at a residence located on Cornwallis Road in Dagenham. Kara Alexander is suspected of having committed their murders.
The Old Bailey heard that Marley, who was five years old, and Elijah, who was two years old, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
A remand order was issued for Ms. Alexander, who is 44 years old, by Judge Mark Lucraft KC in advance of a plea hearing in March.
The 10th of July has been designated as the temporary date for the trial.
Ms. Alexander, who is originally from Dagenham, was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday, and she made an appearance in front of magistrates in Barkingside on Wednesday.
The father who was arrested following the murders of the boys has already been freed, and the Met Police have stated that no further action will be taken against him.
