First Christmas without the Queen, Charles to lead the royal family

  • The British royal family will spend their first Christmas without Queen.
  • Charles III and Camilla will preside over the celebrations in Sandringham.
  • All members of the royal family, including Prince William and Middleton.

The British royal family is getting ready to celebrate their first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth II and start a new chapter with King Charles as the leader of the royal family. King Charles will take over as the head of the royal family on January 1, 2016.

In keeping with the custom established by the late Queen, Charles III and Queen Camilla will preside over the joyous celebrations that will take place in Sandringham. During his first Christmas speech as king, Britain’s new King will pay respect to the late Queen, who reigned for 63 years.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made allegations about the palace in their documentary series, nearly all members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, will make an appearance together at the estate where the late Queen once resided in order to send a message to the world that the royal family is strong and united.

The revelation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix project followed closely on the heels of the Royal Family’s confirmation of their Christmas plans.

Sandringham, which is located in Norfolk, is typically where the royal family will be seen spending the holidays. The royal family owns its own private residence, which was initially purchased by the late Queen’s great grandfather, Edward VII. The property is not held by the Crown but by the royal family.

The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly did not attend the King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla’s special royal Christmas lunch, which has sent tongues buzzing about their absence at the significant family gathering.
