RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid said Tuesday – reacting to the recent political development – that the PDM has been using tactics to delay elections and pushing the country to the brink of collapse due to political ego and stubbornness.
Taking it to Twitter, he said that the ruling coalition was earlier claiming that they will move towards elections in case of assemblies dissolution and now they have been running from the elections.
Rashid said that the country has been moving towards political instability adding that confidence or no confidence will eventually have repercussions on the government.
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid meets President to discuss matters related to the political situation in Pakistan. Sheikh Rashid urged President Arif Alvi to play his role as the Supreme Commander in the country.
Sheikh Rasheed said that inflation has been soaring high in the country and there is a fresh wave of terrorism, while the government is running away from the elections. “The president is the supreme commander, he should use his constitutional authority.”
