Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has denied the statement of Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and said that there was no agreement between him and Elahi before the address to Liberty rally that the former army chief would not be mentioned during his speech.
He expressed these views while talking to senior journalists at his residence Zaman Park in Lahore on Monday.
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi giving an interview to private media broadcast on Sunday claimed that there was an agreement that General Qamar Javed Bajwa would not be discussed during the speech.

After his address to the rally, Elahi did not talk about and object to his speech, the former prime minister said and added that even he did not say that he (Imran) should not have talked about Gen Bajwa.
He told the journalists that Pervaiz Elahi is their ally and still supports the PTI.
The former prime minister maintained that PML-Q senior leader and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s son Mooni Elahi also assured him of full support so he is sure that Friday, December 23, will be the day of “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar” .
Imran reiterated that Gen Bajwa had imposed the thieves on the country, adding Bajwa is responsible for all the mess confronting the country right now.
He observed that Gen Bajwa might have favoured the PML-Q, adding that he could not be silent over the treatment meted out with them aftermaths toppling of the PTI government.
Meanwhile, giving an interview to international media, the PTI chairman said that his party had seen Gen Bajwa responsible for all anarchy prevailing in the country and bad condition of the economy.
On Sunday during an interview with the private TV channel, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi rejected the criticism of Imran Khan against former Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and said that Gen Bajwa is benefactor of the PML-Q and PTI as well.
He added, “If anyone even from the PTI speaks against Bajwa, he (Pervaiz) and the PML-Q will be the first to answer back it as the former COAS is our benefactor.”
He expressed these views while giving an interview to private media broadcast in Lahore on Sunday.
The statement caused concerns among the PTI leaders, who expressed surprise and said that Pervaiz Elahi should not have given such a statement at this time.
However on Sunday evening, Monis Elahi reached Zaman Park and met Imran Khan and explained the situation developed after the statement, Bol News reported.
Monis departed from the Zaman Park after the meeting, which continued for 20 minutes. The two leaders agreed to work together.
Sources said that Monis Elahi’s conversation with Fawad Chaudhary before meeting Imran Khan. Fawad Chaudhry also complained to Monis about the statement.
Earlier during the interview, Pervaiz said, “Imran Khan has done injustice to me as he criticised Gen Bajwa in my presence during the Lahore speech.”
He urged the PTI chief to avoid such harsh criticism against the general as went on to say that Gen Bajwa frequently helped PTI during its government and criticism of him after his retirement was unfair.
Elahi said that his party supported PTI in Centre and Punjab despite reservations.
Pervaiz Elahi said the PML-Q endorsed Imran Khan’s decision to dissolve the Punjab Assembly, but we could not stab our benefactors in the back.

The former premier announced the decision while addressing the nation alongside the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief ministers (CM), Pervaiz Elahi and Mahmood Khan, respectively.
Imran Khan thanked the two provincial chiefs for their cooperation with his party, and said he had consulted PTI’s lawyers about the move, adding that the Constitution did not allow elections to be delayed beyond 90 days of an assembly’s dissolution.
