Sheikh Rashid meets President, political matters discussed

ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid meets President today to discuss matters related to the political situation in Pakistan.

As per details, the meeting between the two took place at the President’s House and the political situation of the country was scrutinized.

In the meeting that lasted for 45 minutes, consultations were also held on the dissolution of the assemblies and future strategy.

Sheikh Rashid urged President Arif Alvi to play his role as the Supreme Commander in the country.

Earlier, Sheikh Rasheed said that inflation has been soaring high in the country and there is a fresh wave of terrorism, while the government is running away from the elections. “The president is the supreme commander, he should use his constitutional authority.”

On the other hand, former Prime Minister Imran Khan also slammed the incumbent government for its failure in combating terrorism.

Imran Khan said that the government is only interested in taking NRO and the welfare of the country is at stake.
He said in a tweet, “Despite the economy tanking, they are petrified of holding elections which is the only way to stabilise the economy through political stabilisation.”
