Christine Brown says “I was just thinking, you know what? It truly works both ways “. “I really just wasn’t attracted — after he said that I was kind of like, ‘Oh, well then I’m done. It’s all over.’ It almost felt like a relief. I’m not going to fight for it or try if you’re not interested in me. So everything I’ve done for you and the family has been for naught.”
Kody has lost several sister wives in recent years: Christine and Kody announced their divorce in November 2021 after more than 25 years of marriage. Kody and his second wife, Janelle Brown, divorced, according to Sunday’s tell-all special. The episode also revealed that Kody had divorced his first wife, Meri Brown, after 32 years of marriage.
During the episode, Sukanya Krishnan, the show’s host, asked Robyn Brown, Kody’s only remaining wife, what she would do if he was no longer physically attracted to her.
“This is the problem. I’d march his butt into a therapist in a heartbeat “She stated. “I would not allow him to ignore me. That is not permitted by me. We’ll talk about it. We’re going to work this out.”
“How do you force someone to be attracted to you?” Krishnan asked Robyn.
“You don’t,” Robyn said. “I believe his attraction stems from that person’s behavior. I’ve seen him do this thing where he’s upset with a wife and then he’s struggling, and then that wife kind of turns a new leaf or they talk and figure something out and she’s supportive and kind and he just melts. He’s like they hung the moon and it’s incredible. I’ve seen him do it numerous times.”
While Kody initially denied Christine’s decision to leave their nearly 26-year marriage, he claims his reaction was due to long-standing issues in their relationship.
“I was conflicted. I tried to be stoic about it “He stated. “[Christine] enjoys playing video games. Manipulation, pouting, temper tantrums, and other behavior issues have plagued us since we were married.”
He went on, “When we moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, some of the games were taking place. I was attempting to make amends with Meri. And Meri gave me this really cool birthday present, and I’m here telling Janelle, Christine, and Robyn that I think I might reconcile with Meri. Christine also lost her s—- that day. She came to our family gathering and left yelling to one of the children that she was in a loveless marriage. This is my last two years with her before she kicks me out.”
