Azhar Ali was praised by the entire England squad, led by captain Ben Stokes, on his way back to the pavilion after scoring.
On the third day of the final Test of the series against England in Karachi, the right-hander was cleaned out by spinner Jack Leach for a duck in his final Test innings.

With 7,142 runs scored in 97 matches, Azhar was one of Pakistan’s most productive batsmen.
With 8,832 Test runs, he ranks fifth on Pakistan’s all-time list, behind only Younis Khan (10,099 runs), Javed Miandad (8,832), Inzamam-ul-Haq (8,829), and Mohammad Yousuf (8,829). (7,530).
25-year-old Azhar made his Test debut in England against Australia at Lord’s in 2010, and he promptly hit his first Test half-century in his second game.
Through his career, he scored 35 half-centuries and 19 times over 100 runs.
The 37-year-old played a major role for Pakistan as captain in a total of nine Tests over two consecutive stints between 2016 and 2020.
The 37-year-old Azhar scored a triple century against the West Indies in a pink-ball Test at Dubai in 2016. His career best Test score was 302, which he achieved without losing a single match.
As a result of his contributions to Pakistan’s 2017 ICC Champions Trophy victory, Azhar hung up his ODI cleats in 2018.
Azhar’s tournament stats included 50 against India, 9 against South Africa, 34 against Sri Lanka, 76 against England in the semi-final, and 59 against Australia (v India in final).
