BANNU: Even after the passage of 17 hours, the terrorists involved in the Bannu attack are still in the office of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and demanding a safe exit to Afghanistan.

The terrorists who attacked the CTD office in Bannu city yesterday have been demanding a safe exit to Afghanistan via airway.

As per reports, the terrorists have seized the entire compound of the CTD office while the body of the policeman who was martyred by the firing has been transferred to the police line.

Roads adjacent to CTD compound and Bannu cantonment have been closed for traffic.

On Sunday, armed militants attacked the installation of CTD and took policemen hostages.

The militants stormed the gate of Bannu Cantonment and entered the CTD compound. They also released most- wanted terrorists being kept in custody after taking control of the installation.

The residents have been asked to stay indoors while law enforcement agencies have been called in to take control of the situation.
