Woman earns Rs 90 lakh after boss slaps her behind at work settlement. During a staff meeting, the woman from Northern Ireland was instructed to stand up and turn around.

“I’m sorry, I had to,” the manager explained.

“Is that allowed?” the woman inquired of the other male manager.

Both men laughed it off and notified other colleagues who later came to the meeting.

The woman stated that she was originally “humiliated and embarrassed” and did not notify her boyfriend or mother. When she later told them, they encouraged her to report the event to HR and higher management, according to the report.

She then informed her bosses that she would not be returning to work until the problem was resolved.

She rejected down an offer to see the more senior management and the boss who smacked her on the bottom in a coffee shop off-site to see if they could fix things since she found this “entirely inappropriate”.

Later, the manager who slapped her quit.

The woman said that her complaint was ignored for ten days. It took five weeks to complete an inquiry into the incident. The probe made “untrue and disparaging comments about her,” she claimed.

She resigned after appealing the investigation.

Her bosses claimed she had “dressed and behaved in a provocative manner.”

She “suffered severe embarrassment and humiliation,” chief commissioner of the Equality Commission, Geraldine McGahey.
