With a picture of John Abraham dressed as his character from their upcoming movie Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan sent him greetings on his 50th birthday. In the Siddharth Anand movie, the two actors are collaborating opposite one another for the first time. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan portrays a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent in the action movie, while John plays the bad guy who faces off against him. The movie’s female lead is Deepika Padukone.

Shah Rukh took to Instagram and wrote, “On-screen foe, off-screen buddy… Happy Birthday dearest @thejohnabraham. Watch our clash in theatres on 25th Jan in #Pathaan! Releasing in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.” The image of John features the actor carrying a gun while wearing all-black clothing, a leather jacket, and jeans against a blue-lit background. On his right hand, you can also see the tattoo of his character. It states: Everyone will attend my funeral to ensure that I don’t live.

Excited fans on Shah Rukh’s post commented about the upcoming film. One Instagram user wrote, “Aye (fire emoji) can’t wait to see the face-off (heart-eyes emoji).” Another wished John on his 50th and said, “Happy birthday dearest John (heart emoji).” Many others commented on how they were wishing to see the film and counting down the days. One fan wrote, “I am waiting for pathan so much @iamsrk love you forever (red heart emoji).”

Aanand L Rai’s Zero (2018), starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, was Shah Rukh’s last movie in a leading role. Fans have grown more interested in him as a result of his extended absence, just like they had in the action movie’s Deepika and John combo. Following the release of the first song, Besharam Rang, some people called for a boycott of the movie, sparking recent controversy. Almost no lawmakers or famous people have criticised Deepika’s dress in the Hindi song.
This year, John produced and appeared in the two action movies Attack and Ek Villain Returns with Arjun Kapoor and Disha Patani. In addition to Pathaan, the actor will star alongside Manushi Chhillar in the drama Tehran.
