Two children’s bodies were recovered in Dagenham, east London, prompting an investigation.
Two boys, ages 2 and 5, were found dead on Cornwallis Road on Friday afternoon.
Met Police said a lady was arrested after a disturbance at a nearby property.
Man arrested too. Police said both the father and woman were known to both youngsters.
Post-mortems and identifications would be arranged, police added.
At this early point, nobody else is being sought in connection with the fatalities, said Detective Inspector Sean Treweek of the Met’s East Area BCU.
“I want to thank locals for helping officers while they investigate the two deaths alongside partner agencies. Anyone with information or concerns should talk to the police.
