ISLAMABAD: Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon is to land in Pakistan today on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The visit will be emphasizing further strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas.
Several bilateral agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed.
The Foreign Office (FO) has said in this regard that the countries have brotherly ties through longstanding historical, cultural and religious bonds.
FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra said, “These ties are marked by mutual respect and exceptional cordiality. The two countries have the commonality of views on various regional and international issues.”
The Tajik President will be presented with a guard of honor at the Prime Minister’s House upon his arrival in Pakistan.
