- US audiences didn’t like Netflix’s Harry and Meghan’s documentary.
- Ratings suggest that the show was a “flop” in the US.
- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the first three episodes.
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, the Netflix documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, seems to have failed to connect with US viewers. Ratings suggest that the show was a “flop” in the US.
Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the first three episodes of the first half of their series. The Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board said that about 2.4 million people in the UK watched it.
But the media said that in the US, where there are 332 million people and where Prince Harry and Meghan now live, less than a million people watched their docuseries, which showed photos and videos of their lives and details about their relationship that had never been seen before.

The show didn’t just fail with US audiences; critics, like Carol Midgley, also didn’t like it: “If I were Netflix, I’d want my money back.” because there was nothing “bombshell” or even new here.”
The next three episodes of Harry & Meghan, the second half of the show on Netflix, are set to come out on December 15, 2022.
