Twitter changed their policies Since Elon Musk became CEO. Elon Musk recently said that any user can now pay $8 per month to have a checkmark next to their name that says they are verified. Yesterday,
Twitter Blue was relaunched with a few new features. Now, users can send Tweets with up to 4,000 characters, replies to Tweets will be put at the top of the list, and there will be half as many ads. Not only that, but Twitter Blue will now need to be verified with a phone number.
Blue subscribers who haven’t yet validated their phone numbers will be asked to do so during the signup process.
People who sign up for Twitter Blue will get all of the Blue features right away, like being able to edit Tweets and watch longer videos. But the checkmark won’t show up right away.
Last month, Twitter’s new CEO said that all Blue accounts will have to be verified by hand. When you sign up for Twitter Blue on the Web, it will cost $8 per month. Due to Apple’s App Store tax, it will cost $11 per month to sign up through iOS.
