Vicky discussed his decision to pursue acting as a career after studying engineering with Shehnaaz Gill. Vicky was taunted by Shehnaaz who questioned why he chose to study engineering when he wanted to be an actor. Vicky responded by stating that he and his brother Sunny Kaushal had been performers on stage since they were young and that they frequently danced on stage at events. He admitted that, like everyone else, he had never considered acting as a career and had instead considered getting an MBA.
Vicky continued by revealing that during his second year of engineering, he and his peers were escorted to a large corporation to demonstrate the type of work they would be required to perform after finishing their degree. Vicky admits that he realized he wouldn’t be able to use a computer for the rest of his life when he observed others using one. He disclosed that although he was offered a position in an IT firm, he turned it down since he recognized he couldn’t live his life on a computer. Vicky explained that the actor pursued acting because, at the age of 22, he didn’t want to do something that would cause him to regret his choice in his 30s and 40s.
