According to rumours, members of the royal family were not contacted for comment regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries.
The right of the royal family to respond to Meghan and Harry’s Netflix show has been the subject of debate.
According to BBC, neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace nor any family members were contacted for comments on the series’ content.
Just over four hours after the premiere of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series, “Harry & Meghan,” the royal family said they aren’t commenting on it at this time.
The claim conflicts with a statement that was read out at the beginning of the first episode of the new series on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which said that “members of the royal family declined to comment on the content within this series.”
The communications departments for King Charles and the Prince of Wales were informed beforehand and given the opportunity to respond to assertions within the series, according to a Netflix source who refuted the assertion.
