While there was extensive coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in 2018, their proposal images and videos were only made public in their recently released Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.
On Thursday, December 8, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the first three parts of their two-part Netflix series, one of which included never-before-seen footage from the royal couple’s engagement.
Prince Harry is seen getting down on one knee to propose over a private picnic, with LED candles and white roses surrounding the couple, in the brief video, which Meghan appears to have captured on her phone.
In the documentary, Meghan joyfully recalled the wonderful occasion and said, “We were so joyful and excited, its like, ugh, we’re doing this!
In the video clip from the time, Meghan can be heard speaking on the phone with her friend Jess and saying, “Oh my god, it’s happening! ” just before Prince Harry pops the question.
The second half of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary series will debut on December 15 as part of the couple’s multi-million dollar arrangement with the streaming giant.
