It’s one thing for him to be romantically involved with another anchor, according to an insider. If he broke corporate policy by courting less senior staff, that is the question.

Up until now, incidents involving powerful anchors seducing backstage personnel have mostly spared ABC.

His contact with Singh may have violated corporate policy, according to The Sun US.

When big names like “Today” presenter Matt Lauer and “CBS This Morning” host Charlie Rose were fired for inappropriate behaviour with younger staffers during the #MeToo movement, both competing networks, NBC and CBS, took a beating.

However, this is the first time ABC has experienced a situation like this.

In the meantime, a network insider claimed that ABC News Chief Kim Godwin appeared to hint at a thorough investigation of the controversy on Monday by saying, “For now, I am going to remove Amy and T.J. off the air, while we figure this out,” during the daily 9 a.m. news call.

The Daily Mail alleged last week that Holmes and seasoned anchor Robach had a connection that included seductive after-work cocktails and romantic country vacations.

In August, Robach and Holmes parted ways with their spouses. The two, who jointly co-anchor “GMA 3,” were removed off the air on Monday.
