Thieves of the Wood, a Netflix Original Dutch-language miniseries, will leave the streaming site globally after nearly three years.

Thieves of the Wood, also known as The Flemish Bandits, was initially broadcast on a Dutch- and Flemish-language television channel in Belgium prior to its permanent release on Netflix.

According to What’s on Netflix, the series is set during the turbulent period of the Austrian administration of Southern Netherlands, when a band of thieves led by Jan de Lichte strikes a blow for justice and equality against the wealthy and powerful.

The ten-part series debuted on the global streaming platform on January 2, 2020. After three years of operation, it will be ready to depart on January 2, 2023. The date corresponds to the period of time stipulated in the licensing agreements.

All Netflix territories will stop streaming Thieves of the Wood on January 1, 2023.
