ISLAMABAD: Dr Asad Majeed has been appointed as the new Foreign Secretary by the government. He is currently posted as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium.
A notification has been issued in this regard.
Earlier, Asad Majeed was the ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union. He was also the ambassador of Pakistan to the United States.
It should be noted that the post of Foreign Secretary was vacant for two months.
On the other hand, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar has been reinstated by the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.
Ghulam Mehmood Dogar was suspended by the federal government a few days back when the Governor House came under attack. Dogar challenged the suspension in the apex court.
