The Garda Sochána (Irish police) have begun an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their discovery, following the discovery of two deaths in County Monaghan.
On Thursday morning, the bodies were discovered in the area close to the border.
A guy’s body was found inside a home in a remote region, and shortly after, another man was killed in an accident not too far away. The accident happened not long after the discovery of the first man’s body.
According to RTÉ, there is a possibility that the fatalities are connected, but the police are investigating all of the possibilities in their investigation.
The Gardai were dispatched to a home in Knockreagh, Lower Broomfield, close to Castleblayney at approximately 06:30 local time. When they arrived, they found the body of a man who they suspect was the victim of a violent death.
A postmortem investigation will be performed on his body after he has passed away.
Gardai were dispatched to the scene of a collision a short distance away at the Ballynacarry bridge not long after the corpse of the victim was discovered.
It was confirmed by An Garda Sochána that a pedestrian had passed away as a result of being struck by a car on the N53 route.
The road is still closed at this time.
As a result of the accident, the Concession Road in the vicinity of Crossmaglen is currently closed in Northern Ireland.
