QUETTA: In a recent development, a case has been registered against the blast that took place in the Baleli area of Quetta yesterday and claimed 4 lives including a woman and a child.
The case was registered at CTD police station and included the charges of murder, attempted murder, the Explosives Act, and other anti-terrorism provisions.
It is pertinent to mention here that the death toll after the explosion reached four while 26 injured are being treated in the hospital. The explosion also affected a passing vehicle and 3 members of the same family died in the attack.
The initial reports said that the incident was a suicide attack. The bomb disposable team was called to the location.
Notably, the incident took place when a truck carrying police officials for the security workers was passing.
PM Shehbaz Sharif condemned the blast on the police truck and said that evil elements will never succeed in obstructing the polio campaign in Pakistan.
The premier also ordered an immediate probe into the matter. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also slammed the elements behind the incident and said that he is proud of the forces serving the nation regardless of the dangers.
