Kim Kardashian ‘Relieved’ Divorce Terms

  • According to a source, Kim Kardashian is “extremely glad” that she and Kanye West have settled the terms of their divorce.
  • The terms of the couple’s divorce were resolved on Tuesday, according to court records.
  • The 42-year-old Kardashians star “didn’t want the divorce to go to trial,” a source claims.

They include, “There were a few initial points of contention between [Kim and Kanye] that they could now agree on. The majority of the things that Kanye had previously opposed were eventually accepted.”

According to the insider, Kardashian is certain that she and the 45-year-old rapper will be able to co-parent their children amicably.

Kim is the primary caretaker, even though she and Kanye split custody of the children, the insider said. “They all concurred that Kanye should discuss any grievances with Kim in private rather than air them publicly. She desires to safeguard the children. Kim anticipates that going forward, co-parenting will be somewhat simpler.”

North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, are West and Kardashian’s four children.

According to the terms of their divorce agreement, West must give Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support. In addition, he will be liable for covering half of the children’s security, medical, and educational costs.

Kardashian and West both declined to pay spousal support.

The couple also decided to use mediation to resolve disagreements involving the kids. However, if either party declines to participate, the other is free to resolve a disagreement by default.

The couple’s property and other assets will be distributed in accordance with their prenuptial agreement.

Dating since 2012, Kardashian and West got hitched in May 2014. At the height of West’s public outbursts in 2020, when he announced a contentious run for president of the United States and revealed incredibly private information about his family and marriage on the campaign trail and on Twitter, their marriage fell apart.

In a rare public speech at the time, Kardashian addressed his diagnosis of bipolar disorder. He begged for “compassion” and acknowledged their “complex and terrible” circumstances.

Kardashian then requested a divorce from West in February 2021, about seven years after they wed. She applied to be deemed legally single in December, some months later. She also requested the restoration of her maiden name and the separation of the property and child custody disputes from her marital status.
