Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale has passed away. The 80-year-old actor passed away today. Vikram passed away on November 26 at Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.

After being admitted there a few days prior, he had been receiving medical care there. His condition was slowly but surely improving, according to information from the hospital’s administration yesterday. But as his health continued to decline, he had to resume taking medicine and BP support.

Vikram Gokhale’s final rites will be performed this evening at the Vaikunth Crematorium in Pune. His wife revealed that Vikram has been a patient at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital since November 5. Vikram Gokhale’s wife denied rumours of his death that arose two days prior. On November 24, it was reported that she had said, “He went into a coma yesterday afternoon and hasn’t come around since. On a ventilator, he is. Depending on whether he is improving, deteriorating, or still not responding, the doctors will decide what to do the following morning.”

She said that Vikram Gokhale’s health had slightly improved before declining once more. She continued by mentioning the renowned actor’s renal and heart conditions.

Vikram was well-known for his outstanding performances in Hindi movies, television series, and Marathi theater. In Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, he portrayed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father. In addition, he appeared in a number of movies, including Parwana, Agneepath (1990), Bhool Bhilaiyaa, Mission Mangal, Tum Bin, and De Dana Dan. His work in the Marathi movie Anumati earned him the National Award for Best Actor.
