After rumors that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would not attend King Charles’ Christmas celebration, Buckingham Palace has revealed the monarch’s plans for the holiday.
King Charles will reportedly make the trip to Sandringham to spend Christmas Day with his family, as reported by Hello Magazine.
Since September, when Queen Elizabeth passed away, this will be the first Christmas that the royal family will spend together as a unit to commemorate the holiday.
In the meantime, it has been reported that the royal couple currently residing in California has turned down King Charles’ olive branch invitation to celebrate the day with him and other senior royals at Sandringham.
The Sun claims that the primary reason Harry and Meghan turned down the invitation is that they are concerned about how people will react to their documentary series on Netflix, which is scheduled to debut the following month.
However, royal biographer Angela Levin said, “I’m sure Catherine and William will be there by the King and Queen’s side for part of the holiday.” Catherine and William are expected to spend some of the holiday with the royal family.
