ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that halting the illegal invasion of the capital is the constitutional responsibility of the provincial governments.
An important meeting was held in the Interior Ministry regarding the long march of PTI on November 26, which was chaired by Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
On the occasion, the strategy to combat PTI’s rally and sit-in was discussed, while the participants also gave a briefing on PTI gathering and security arrangements.
The interior minister said that it is the constitutional responsibility of the provincial governments to prevent illegal steps taken by the political party to invade the federation, the federation and its units should work together to stop any unconstitutional steps.
He further said that the chief secretaries should ensure that no government employee becomes part of any initiative or plan to invade the federation.
It should be noted that the Minister of State for Interior Abdul Rehman Kanju and Federal Secretary Home Yousuf Naseem Khokhar along with Punjab Home Department participated in the meeting while KP IG Police Moazzam Jah and Chief Secretary participated online.
