- A group of hackers reportedly hacked Prince William’s new Prince of Wales website.
- Killnet claimed in a Telegram message that the website princeofwales.gov.uk had been taken down.
- A similar blow will be dealt to “all medical institutions, Government services, and online services”.
Before the future king ever had a chance to update it, a group of hackers reportedly hacked Prince William’s new Prince of Wales website.
Killnet claimed in a Telegram message that the website princeofwales.gov.uk had been taken down as a result of the UK government supporting Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
A comparable blow will be dealt to “all medical institutions, Government services, and online services,” the group further pledged.
PrinceofWales.gov.uk was found to have error messages by website monitoring tool check-host.
The fact that the website is so underutilised that it hasn’t been updated since the days after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September may slightly dilute any claimed victory by the pro-Russian group if the article is real and the royals have been hacked.
According to sources, the attack, which may have happened in the early hours of Tuesday, seemed to be a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, which Killnet is notorious for. A DDoS attack occurs when a server is overloaded by numerous fictitious requests, typically from bot servers.
